Moreover, the forceps minor had a positive effect on crystallized intelligence. A causal additive model set a putative causal effect based on white matter measures of the superior longitudinal fasciculus and cingulum associated to hippocampal gyrus over working memory index, specifically on the Digit Span task. The results suggested a strong predictive value of the superior longitudinal fasciculus and cingulum over the intelli- gence. Besides, the analysis of causality set the working memory as the intelligence index with more influenced by the white matter integrity.
