Envigo?, USA. Twenty-four mice were grouped into 4: Group A: Control, received regular diet; Group B: received kolaviron; Group C: received cuprizone diet; Group D: co-treated with kolaviron and cuprizone diet. Treatment lasted for 5 weeks, after which behavioral tests were conducted, followed by process- ing of brain tissues for histology (using Haematoxylin & Eosin and cresyl fast violet stains), immunohistochemistry (using antibod- ies against glial fibrillary acidic protein - GFAP, neurofilament — NF, and neuron-specific enolase - NSE) and biochemistry (using biochemical kits for superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione per- oxidase (GPx) and malondialdehyde (MDA).
