After the devastating Atlantic hurricane season of 2017 we resolvedto publish an issue on building and infrastructure resilience once thehurricane season started up again. The subject is as newsworthy todayas it was in the late summer of last year. While the media has movedon to other news, millions in a?ected areas continue to struggle withdamage to their homes, roads, public buildings, and power grids.
