Nano-carbon and titanium clip combined labeling assisted surgery before neoadjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy for rectal cancer

Rectal cancer is one of the common digestive tract tumors,and for rectal surgery, the location of the tumor is impor-tant for anal sphincter preservation. 1 For the determinationof the location of the tumor, our commonly used methodsare colonoscopy and MRI, but the distance measured bythese two methods is only a valuation, not accurateenough, and the measured results are used to determinewhether to perform an anus-preserving radical resection.This is not rigorous enough. In addition, neoadjuvant che-moradiotherapy is a common method for the treatment ofrectal cancer 2 and some patients can not only reduce thesize of the tumor after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy,and some can even achieve pathological negative, 3 newThe change in tumor volume after adjuvant chemo-radiotherapy makes it difficult for doctors to judge thelocation of the tumor. Therefore, we propose a combina-tion of nano-carbon and titanium clips to assist laparo-scopic surgery before neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy.
