We have long given to the Sabaean people the precursory role in the formation of the civilization of South Arabia, around the beginning of the 1st millennium B.C.The new archaeological and epigraphic data from the City-States of the Jawf region invite us to put back the political role of the Kingdom of Saba in the historical context of the 8th to 6th century B.C.
