A novel sensor for ligustrazine was fabricated by directly incorporating ZrOCl2 and ?2-cyclodextrin into graphite powder followed with an electrochemical treatment process. Scanning electron microscopy and cyclic voltammetry were employed to investigate the properties of the electrode. This sensor exhibited remarkable enhancement response towards ligustrazine compared with other related electrodes, which is due to the synergy between ZrO2 and ?2-cyclodextrin. Under the optimized conditions, the linear range of determination for ligustrazine was 2 ?— 10a?’7 to 1 ?— 10a?’5 mol La?’1. As a practical application, the proposed sensor was applied to quantitatively determine ligustrazine in Chuanxiong rhizome and urine samples with satisfactory results.
