This study observes the trend of poverty that occurs in farm household of cashew producer in two cashew centers ofimportant to develop regulations for poverty reduction, through identifying the level of household welfare cashew farmers atThe objective of this study isto analyze the different ofon two social contexts.This research used comparative study and use post positivist research paradigm. The results of research showthe level of farm household welfare in Buton and Muna is different siand non-foods consumption). The Condition and quality of housing facilities in Buton farmers generally relatively better than farmersMuna. Instead, level of education of farmers inhousehold with living condition under poverty standart line especially cashew farmer households in Muna regency. This researcthat the level of household welfare cashew farmers in Buton is tend to be higher than the level of welfare of cashew farmers in Munastudied implied that welfare discourse not only about quantify of living standard (such as land, livestock, health, finance,also about local social context especially about social structure, social capital (trust, social networking, and reciprocity)values, and the ethics and moralities of work. So that in the next research, welfare measurement not only involvemeasurement but also subjective welfare measurement with involve social dimensions. This study recommends for Muna public govpromote of non-farm activities as supporting on farm income such us cashew processing as a good strategfarmers as well as sustaining equitable rural growth like in Buton regency.
