Theobjectiveofthestudyreportedherewastoelucidatetheoptimalequilibrationconditionsforcarryingoutvitrificationoftwo-cellmouseembryos,usingasolutioncontaining2Mdimethylsulfoxide,1Macetamide,and3Mpropyleneglycol(DAP213)asacryoprotectant.brxmlns="http://pub2web.metastore.ingenta.coms/"/brEmbryosweresubjectedtoanequilibrationprocessunder20conditionsofacombinationofdifferenttemperatures(10to37°C)andtimes(5to90sec),andviabilityoftheembryoswasassessedbytherateofdevelopmentintoblastocystsandintolivefetuses.Asaresult,theseratesofdevelopmentintoblastocystsdidnotdifferfromthoseforunfrozenembryos.Therateofdevelopmentoffrozen-thawedembryosintolivefetusesunderconditionsof30sec.at20°C,whichwasselectedashavingbyhighestoperability,was55.2%,comparabletothevalue(65.0%)forunfrozenembryos.Thus,theoptimalequilibrationconditionforvitrificationoftwo-cellmouseembryos,usingDAP213solution,was30secat20°C,underwhichembryoviabilitywasmaximized,andthisequilibrationprocesswasconsideredusefulasapracticaltwo-cellembryofreezingprocessinthevitrificationmethod.
