摘要

The corrosion inhibition of ASTM-A240 201 Stainless Steel sheets (LCS) in 1M HCl solution in the presence of Succinic acid at temperature (20,30,40,50,60)°C at concentration between (0.1-10) ppm for two hours were studied using weight loss method. Results show that the inhibition efficiency was increased with the increase of inhibitor concentration and increased with the increase of temperature up to 60oC . Activation parameters of the corrosion process such as activation energies E a , activation enthalpies ΔH, and activation entropies ΔS, were calculated. The adsorption of inhibitor follows Langmuir isotherm. Maximum inhibition efficiency obtained was about 96% at 60oC in the 10 ppm inhibitor concentration
