摘要

OSA is a highly prevalent disorder characterized by recurrent episodes of upper airway collapse during sleep with associated airflow obstruction, intermittent hypoxemia, sympathetic excitation, and disrupted sleep quality. OSA affects at least 2% of women and 4% of men in the developed world and leads to excessive daytime sleepiness, diminished quality of life and cognitive functioning, and increased risk of road traffic accidents.
