摘要

Single crystals of 2H-TaSxSe2-xhave been grown by chemical vapour transport (CVT) technique using iodine as a transporting agent. The grown crystals exhibit different colours depending on the stoichiometric proportion of sulphur and selenium. These crystals have been characterized by energy dispersive analysis of X-rays (EDAX) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) for confirmation of stoichiometric proportion and determination of lattice parameters respectively. The surface micro-topographic study of the as-grown crystals has been carried out to study the growth mechanism
