The Department of History and Classical Studies and the School ofReligious Studies of McGill University invite applications for atenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor in “Religions inthe Greco-Roman World”. The successful applicant is expected tohold a relevant Ph.D. at time of appointment, to show promise ofexcellence in teaching and to have an innovative research portfolio. The successful applicant can expect to teach and develop courses inAncient History, Biblical Studies, and Classics. The ability to teachancient Greek and Koine Greek is essential. A specialization in any ofthe literatures, religions and philosophies in the Greco-Roman World, such as Stoicism, Cynicism, Mystery Religions, Judaism, Christianity, Gnosticism is desirable.
