While browsing through this vocabulary, one has the impression that he is looking through a list of terms and phrases that are most commonly mistranslated in medical literature. Terms causing difficulty for inexperienced French- English translators (such as clinic, essai, observation, or toxicomanie) are all there, together with their correct English equivalents: clinical practice (not clinic), test, trial, attempt (not essay), case, case history (not observation), drug addiction (not toxicomania).
