The work represents the cooperative effort of the members of the Department of Bacteriology, Public Health and Preventive Medicine of the Boston University School of Medicine. The main portion of the book is by Drs. Belding and Marston. The section on immunity was done by Drs. Derow and Hooker; ultramicroscopical viruses by Dr. Dalrymple; and water, sewage and milk by Dr. Bill.
