摘要

Computer-aided design (CAD) is the use of computer technology for the design of objects, real or virtual. The present paper shows compatibility aspects between different vectorial software’s such as CorelDRAW11, ArhiCAD 11, GoogleSketchUP 6 Pro and Realtime Landscaping. Important techniques are presented for the creation of comprehensive plant libraries, symbol creation, especially 2D plant symbols, different effects that a landscape designer can ad to an existing symbol, conversion of the created symbols to different extensions compatible with other specific programs (Singureanu Valentin, 2009). All the presented CAD solutions are exemplified with practical solutions. The design concept where created on a medium equipped computer: Intel M Pentium Processor 1.8 GHz, 1526 MB internal memory, 64 MB internal video memory.
