Biodegradable ability of microorganisms, biomass accumulation rates, mass fraction of protein, degree of hydrolysisof keratin, keratin hydrolyzate digestibility in vitro, keratinase optimal activity at each of these conditions and durationof culture growth, and biochemical and phenotypic properties of the microorganisms are studied. The selection of microorganismsto create a consortium for processing of keratin materials is explained. The conditions for the biodestructionof poultry industry waste by the consortium are determined.
