We've all heard of white and blue collar workers; now step forward the 'green collar' worker - if any of you are out there, that is! According to the engineering and environment consultancy, Royal Haskoning, government pressures on business to improve its green credentials has resulted in a perceived shortage of workers with environmental skills (the green collar brigade). Of the 500 companies surveyed, more than a third of them said they were "concerned" about their company's future ability to satisfy its 'green collar' needs, and over half predicted that their need for environmental workers will increase in the future.
