Future chemical engineer Nick Mitra sat down with DN to discuss his experiences and the opportunities for an intern in engineering.rnQ You attend Northeastern University and are currently on co-op, could you explain that concept?rnA Basically co-op is Northeastern's Experiential Learning program. We spend six months out of the year taking classes and then the next six months working full-time as interns in our major. I have done one co-op already and I am on my second one now. Because we don't spend all year in classes, Northeastern is a five-year program but it is definitely worth it because we graduate with a lot of work experience.
