By January 2018, Iran seemed determined to further alter and shape the Middle East in its favor in 2018, with its transnational proxy force at the forefront of its regional ambitions.The presence of Iran's extensive and formidable proxy network throughout the region must be taken into consideration by policymakers and military commanders when trying to plan for future crises within the Middle East.
