Defense Department Inspector General to Scrutinize Original KC-46 Boom Design

The Defense Department Office of the Inspector General announced Sept. 16 it plans toevaluate how the Air Force determined requirements to design and develop the refueling boomof the KC-46A Pegasus airborne tanker, which was discovered in 2018 to have issues connectingto one service aircraft and scraping when deployed.
