Urgent Operational Requirements (UORs) have provided an impetus to get things done quickly in defence procurement circles. Vehicles such as Mastiff, delivered in weeks rather than years, have proven that acquisition time cycles can be drastically reduced. But, in order to deliver the right equipment to the right people in the right timescales, an understanding between all stakeholders is vital.
