On 24th June, Dr Steven Everhart was returning from a trip to the University of Baghdad to introduce a new business curriculum when he was callously murdered by Shia militants. The culprits were probably a fringe group backed by renegade Iranians in the Revolutionary Guard - General Qassem Suleimani's al-Quds force. Yet these are the dangers many American civilians will soon face, even if a small number of US troops remain in Iraq.
