摘要

The aim of the Defence Academy's Advanced Command and Staff Course is to prepare selected officers for high-grade appointments, developing their command, analytical and communication skills, and providing a broad understanding and knowledge of joint, single-service and combined operations, and of defence as a whole. The full course, which takes one academic year of residential education, is accredited to King's College London for the award of an MA in Defence Studies. The student body represents the top 10% of the office cadre from across the UK defence and international community, comprising 286 students: 56 Royal Navy/Royal Marines, 72 Army, 63 RAF, 5 UK government departments and 90 international students from 58 countries.
