The Association for Project Management carried out research in the late 1990s, which identified that all major projects through the last 300 years or so had been late, or over budget -except those delivering the same solution with the same team of people. Knowing what to expect is a key factor in this finding, along with the build up of an efficient customer-supplier relationship (knowing how each other will behave).
