Hot spots on the high seas

Special force and stabilisation frigates are playing an increasing role in surveying maritime trade, as well as for stabilisation operations around the world in and around failed states or areas of potential conflict. Technical requirements for these vessels are high on the seas, especially when a frigate's deployment can last several months or up to two years. This necessitates intensive use of all the mechanical equipment and electrical systems on board, which need to be continuously monitored and serviced to ensure safety and reliable operation.
