Bangladesh remains in turmoil as DJ goes to the Press, however there seems to be light with the end of turmoil. It seems that neither of the two ("warring" rather than "political") parties were prepared to sit in Opposition, they wanted the reins of government in their hands by fair means or foul, preferably foul, the parameters of democracy notwithstanding. The streets were afire and the economy, a fair part of the population living on daily wages, was virtually at a standstill. A fair and transparent "Caretaker" process had been badly corrupted, badly compromised for the future. The Army is right smack in the middle, damned it you will and damned it you want.
