Mr. Asif Ali Zardari has taken oath as the new President of Pakistan at a time when Pakistan is passing through a difficult time. The economy is at its lowest ebbs, society is depressed and there is scarcity of resources. Internal politics are getting complicated and regional geo-strategic concerns are getting worse and last but not the least, the global economy is also not at its best. The newly elected president will have to face all these socio-economic and geo-political problems in the days to come. One of the foremost problems that the president will have ~+o tackle is putting the sagging economy back on track. Severe macroeconomic imbalances and political instability have already caused enough damage to the country. Now it is time to deliver, not to deviate.
