Pains without Gains

摘要

A huge 5 years foreign funded project implemented covering the whole of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa aiming at provision of rural water supply and sanitation ended in 2009. The Project was designed to improve not only the existing water and sanitation services but also hygiene behavioral patterns amongst the beneficiaries. Active community participation including capital cost-sharing and full operation and maintenance (O&M) were the integral parts of participatory approach.
