Demonstration of technologies that could help improve both the operational durability and total survivability of helicopters in combat, with details of the Combat Tempered Platform Demonstration (CTPD) revealed in early January. The project calls upon industry to 'demonstrate an integrated platform solution' that exemplifies these factors. Published timetables call for prototyping in mid-2012 to early 2015, and a technology demonstration phase during mid-2014 into 2015.
