Dynamics of plankton and larval fish populations on Georges Bank, the North Atlantic US GLOBEC study site

This is the fourth in a series of special volumes that describe the results of the US GLOBEC (GLOBal ocean ECosystems dynamics) Northwest Atlantic Georges Bank Program that was initiated in 1994 (US GLOBEC 1992, 1994). The Georges Bank Program was designed to examine the population dynamics of zooplankton "target" species because of their perceived importance in the Georges Bank and surrounding ocean ecosystem, and their importance to marine fisheries (Wiebe et al., 1996, 2002).
