Chinese dairy giant's profits surge

Yili, one of the biggest dairy producers in China, has posted a 136.7% increase in first-half profits despite continuing lack of public confidence in domestic products and rising costs. First-half profits rose to CNY816 million (€88.2m), while turnover climbed 28.42% year-on-year to CNY18.87 billion (€2.04bn).
