LBR will have estimated annual revenue of Brl3 billion (€ 135bn) and an annual milk collection of more than 2 billion litres of milk. The new merger has yet to be formally announced to Brazil's competition authorities, which will look into the effects of the proposed union and its effect on market competition. The new LBR is expected to employ roughly 6 400 workers in its 30 processing units that have a combined capacity to process 8.3 million litres of milk per day. It will also have access to a network of 56 000 regular milk producers.
