Milk consumption rising for German children

Children's milk consumption is breaking all records in Germany with a representative national survey of six to 13 year olds finding that 70% of the respondents drank milk every day. The survey by publishers Egmont Ehapa, Berlin, is representative of 5.7 million children and has been carried out since 2002 when only 61% of children said they drank milk every day. Up until 2004, fruit juice was the most popular kids' drink in Germany.
