Drinktec Has A Heart Of Dairy

This year's international drinktec exhibition will have a major focus on dairy, featuring a special dairy technology award and a series of lectures on milk and milk-based drinks. Taking place at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre in Germany from 14-19 September, the milk treatment and processing sector occupies a large area, displaying the complete range of processing technology, including filling. According to a survey carried out by the organisers, just under half of exhibitors are aiming their product range at the milk and liquid food segments. "The proportion of visitors from the milk and liquid milk products sectors has increased correspondingly over the past few years," notes Petra Westphal, exhibition director.rnOn 17 September, the Dairy Technology Award will be presented at drinktec for the first time. The categories are processing and automation technology; packaging and filling technology; environment and sustainability; process management and IT; logistics; and food safety.
