Cargill expands alginate business

Cargill is spending US$15 million to up- | grade and expand its | French alginates production plant. This will fund a number of upgrades to the site in Lannilis, Brittany, France. It is located in close proximity to the French coast, where Cargill works closely with local fisherman to ensure a secure source of fresh brown seaweed, from which the alginate is extracted.
