Some things need to come back in fashion. Witness The Milk Race. Brought back by industry bodies The Dairy Council and the Milk Marketing Forum, in front of a crowd of over 60,000 people in Nottingham, the event comprised two elite races. Irish rider Felix English claimed the first men's title for two decades, while London 2012 gold medallist, Dani King, won the women's event. The female event was particularly noteworthy for the fact that it offered the same prize money as the men's, which is a first for British cycling. Former 'Make Mine Milk' celebrity ambassador Ed Clancy, a two-time Olympic champion, finished third in the men's race.
