Fair prices for farmers at Berchtesgadener Land

"Fair milk prices for our farmers" is the name of the campaign that Berchtesgadener Land Chiemgau dairy has launched throughout southern Germany and in North Rhine-Westphalia. The German dairy has been able to keep paying almost €0.40 per litre farmgate to their farmers. Sales of Berchtesgadener Land were €205 million in the last financial year and production used 287 mil- lion kilograms of milk. A 3% market growth in the market was the goal for 2015 and it was helped by new products such as 250ml organic milk packs and a calcium enriched and natural yogurt with only 0.7% fat.
