The enhanced operational and diagnostic data offered by digital technology allows producers to understand what's happening in a process at a very detailed level, enabling them to optimise their processes, ensure the highest levels of product quality and improve process efficiency. As a result, many producers are choosing to replace mechanical-based measurement devices with the latest generation of electronic instruments to enable benefits including: real-time measurement, predictive maintenance and, in the case of process recording devices, enhanced security against tampering or potential interference.
