Q. How did your background prepare you for your current role? I am an accountant by profession, and have spent my career working in professional services, latterly as co-founder of an international recruitment company that I sold in 2012. I also mentor young entrepreneurs as they grow their start up businesses. While this may not seem a natural progression, there are many aspects that helped prepare me for this role - specifically that "we know that we don't know" and will look outside the business for expertise and knowledge and consistently question how and why things are done.
