In metropoles from London to Berlin, golden milk has started to spice up the menus of trendy cafes, where it is positioned as a healthy alternative to caffeinated drinks and smoothies. Golden milk, also known as turmeric latte, is creating a buzz in the healthy drinks arena. Turmeric latte drinks have found their way from foodservice into the retail sector, with Germany taking a leading role in European innovation. Golden milk innovation adds a level of complexity to the dairy and plant-based drinks category, in which the use of spices has been rather limited to date.
