Mexican Government Will Impose Tariffs on U.S. Cheese Exports

The National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) and the U.S. Dairy Export Council (USDEC) expressed great disap-pointment that the Mexican government has agreed to impose tariffs of 20- 25% on several major categories of U.S. exports to Mexico, including cheeses. This action targets shipments to the United States' largest export market for dairy products, including products such as Cheddar, mozzarella, Gouda, provolone, Colby, Monterey Jack, cream cheese and more.
