摘要

This study presents an analysis of the significant NTBs which affect U.S. exports of fish and fish products. At the outset it was agreed to limit the scope of the study to 14 species and to the countries Australia, Brazil, Canada, European Community Member States, Japan, Mexico, Nigeria, Republic of Korea, Spain and Venezuela. NTBs may effect trade with other countries, but these were judged to be of less overall importance to the U.S. industry. Three broad areas of investigation were decided upon. These were (1) The identification and investigation of fish and fish products available for export; (2) The markets for fish in the specified countries; and (3) The significant NTBs in the specified countries.
