Towards a Phenomenology of Schematization

摘要

This article outlines some general phenomenological and dialectical characteristics of the distinction-logic that was worked out by George Spencer-Brown in Laws of Form. Through reflecting on the form of beginnings as such and carving out their general hypothetical form a surprisingconclusion can be drawn: Spencer-Brown's exposure of a logic of distinction is accompanied by a peculiar schematization procedure on the operational level of the formalization. This result opens up the possibility of getting insight into the deep structure of Laws of Form itself.
