The purpose of this unusual book, 113/4 high by 81/2 wide, which was published in England, is to provide a useful and informative reference source for the Bletchley park code and cipher breaking activities during the Second World War. It is centered on the Civilian and Service men and women. There are also figures about the amount of traffic on the worldwide communications network and the important training course on the Japanese language. Other chapters provide statistical information on Personnel-Increases and Sicknesses. Also daily average staff sick numbers. A chapter on catering includes a section on PRIVILEGE DINNERS, (probably officers) and the price was about 1.25. (As a WWII Vet, this writer is not surprised.)
