EME DXpedition to Guatemala

The Dutch team of Chris Van den Berg, PA2CHR, and Jos Wolters, PA3FYC, activated the first three-band EME DXpedition from Guatemala, grid EK44sb (Photo A), the last week of February into the first week of March using the callsigns TD9CHR and TD9FYC (Photo B). Like others before them, veteran DXpeditioners Chris and Jos were not immune to the seemingly random events that more often than not become part of the DXpedition narrative. Upon arrival from the Netherlands via Mexico to Guatemala, the two-man team discovered that one of their bags was still in Amsterdam. Of course, that bag contained such DXpedition-essential items as the preamps, coax, and tools. Fortunately, the missing bag arrived the next day thus having minimum impact on their effort.
