'By Christmas' is probably the most popular deadline contractors face, never helped by the age-old problem of British weather, which unhelpfully tends to become more unpredictable as nights draw in. With less light to work with and deadlines to meet, Rebecca Ball, Marley Eternit Marketing Manager, reminds contractors to keep their staff and customers safe. "Do ensure you and your staff have enough light to do the job properly, and that farm workers and observers remain out of designated work zones. Ensure mirrors, cameras and windows are cleaned regularly on machinery to allow staff good visibility when manoeuvring, and remember that not all farm staff will be wearing the same levels of high-vis PPE as contractors."
