Consider the following at organizations undergoing lean transformations: 1. Early adaptors of lean often find themselves thrust into the spotlight of high visibility among executives and peer groups benchmarking their lean journey. This visibility often leads to promotional opportunities or the curiosity to seek better opportunities externally. 2. An organization with a larger tenured population might be impacted by a large exodus of retirements. They did not consider that impacts to their work are in a manner that makes them uncomfortable with or unwilling to change.
