摘要

In the May 2004 issue of Cost Engineering journal, an article titled, "There's More Than Carrots Dangling Here," was authored by Lee J. Hobb and published by AACE International. The 2004 article is being reprinted in this issue as background material for a new article titled, "The Problem With Dangling Activities," authored by Dr. David T. Hulett. Both authors reference a website that has posted the lectures of Alan Hurst, a lecturer in construction engineering and scheduling at an English university lo'cated near Nottingham. Hobb and Hulett take different viewpoints and explore different issues relating to one of the Hurst lectures. This article also includes a third perspective on the issue by Earl Glenwright, a principal with K-G Construction Scheduling Support Services.
