Transpacific Trade Partnership moves forward

The USA is negotiating with 11 other countries in the Asia Pacific region to establish a trade agreement which, if passed, will be a major boost for shippers trading in this region. President Barack Obama announced in November 2011 the USA's intention to participate in the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) with Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam.
