A key route in the City of London will be closed this Saturday to remove a giant concrete bar as part of the demolition work at the site of the planned 288 m high Pinnacle office block. The 250 tonne bar will have to be cut into 3 m sections, each of which will be removed by a 31 m tower crane. Bishopsgate is being shut to allow lorries to carry out the concrete. Keltbray is doing demolition work which is being project managed by Mace. A spokesman for Pinnacle One, the company in charge of building the tower for developer Arab Investments, said: "Organising a road closure is an enormous amount of work.
